This is just a stone's throw from Water Newton where many of many of my ancestors were born, lived and died in the early 1800s.

The coal barn at Thornham. This was a port for coal being shipped in and wheat shipped out, the whole area floods at high tide but the barn is built on a slightly raised area:

The Lifeboat Horse opposite the town pier made from steel bars and whiskey barrels, made as a tribute to the horses that once pulled the lifeboat:

An absolutely monster beach. The sea goes out a long way and you have to get back before high-tide as it comes in faster than you can run:
